My name is Jo Shiers and I am an authorized marriage celebrant and member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants (AFCC) and the Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants of Victoria (ACMCV). I conduct Wedding Ceremonies, Commitment Ceremonies, Same Sex Commitment Ceremonies, Naming Ceremonies and Renewal of Vows.

I live in Brighton, Victoria. I’m in my forties, married to Ian and together we have a 6 year old gorgeous little girl called Simone, who is enjoying her first year of school as well as being the proud owner of Fergus the goldfish!. I also have a step-daughter - Linda, who I would be happy to have as a friend if we were not related.

There have been many chapters of my life that have presented me with the opportunity to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. These experiences have developed me into a warm and compassionate person who has a great sense of fun and the ridiculous!

My role as a celebrant is to assist you in creating a personalized ceremony that is memorable for you, your family and guests.

Everybody has a story to be told or shared. Whatever the occasion, wedding, naming day, commitment ceremony or same sex marriage, it is my intention to make it personal and memorable so that you will always look back on it with warm and happy memories.
